Creative Flower Photography
At play with light, foreground, focus and composition - studio techniques in the field and inside
Masterclass Flower Photography – Magical Flower Portraits with Light and Technology
Following on from our Artistic Flower Photography course, this new masterclass also focuses on creating dreamy, picturesque flower portraits – but this time we go one step further.
Instead of shooting exclusively by hand, we now work more from a tripod to gain maximum control over image composition, depth of field, and lighting. The foreground is deliberately designed—in some cases even completely rebuilt—to create the perfect scene.
Another focus is on the use of different light sources: natural light, flash, and flashlights are used—both in the studio for still lifes and outdoors in nature.
We explore exciting studio techniques and delve into special methods such as focus stacking, where we use Photoshop specifically for image refinement.
And yet the goal remains the same: to create magical images directly in the camera, with as little post-processing as possible.
For everyone who not only wants to photograph flowers, but also wants to stage them and bring them to life with light.
