Welcome to my world
I’m a Belgian biologist and photographer. I worked for about 15 years at the University of Leuven in aquatic ecology. During that time, I traveled several times to South America in search of poison dart frogs—that’s where my photography journey began. At first, I only photographed while traveling, which limited my progress and left me unsatisfied with my images. So I decided to travel less and focus more on photography. I began studying analog photography at the arts academy in Leuven, while teaching myself digital photography. About twelve years ago, I started earning money through photography, and today I’m a full-time photographer. I specialize in artistic nature photography, using creative techniques such as light painting, selective focus, and multiple exposure.

In the wake of light - Magic in images
My photography is all about light. I don't just capture it—I read it, follow it, and paint with it. Through the lens, I create dreamy, painterly flower portraits in which the bokeh is just as important as the blossoms. Using multiple exposures, I weave time and perspective into magical visual worlds. At night, the forest becomes my studio: with a flashlight as my brush and light as my paint, I paint glowing mushrooms and fairy-tale landscapes. Each photo is a touch of romance, a piece of a dream—painted with light.
